BBBEE Compliancy

In terms of the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Act (53, or 2003) and within the Codes of Good Practice it is stated (Section4, Codes of Good Practice) that:

Any enterprise with an annual Total Revenue of R 5 million or less qualifies as an Exempted Micro-enterprise (EME)

Exempted Micro-enterprises are deemed to have BBBEE status of Level Four Contributor having a BBBEE procurement recognition of 100% paragraph 6.3 (Codes of Good Practice)

Despite the previous paragraph an Exempted Micro-enterprise qualifies for promotion to a BBBEE Status of Level Three Contributor having a BBBEE procurement recognition of 110% under paragraph 6.3 (Codes of Good Practice) if it is more than 50% by black people or by black women

Exempted Micro-enterprises are allowed to be measured in terms of the Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE) scorecard should they wish to maximize their points and move to the next procurement recognition level

Sufficient evidence of qualification as an Exempted Micro-enterprise is an auditor’s certificate or similar certificate issued by an accounting officer or verification agency.

In this regard CSS Pty Ltd qualifies as an Exempted Micro-enterprise and thus achieves a Level 4 BBBEE status with 100% procurement recognition.
